The Larry Ahern Campaign has announced the endorsement of the Associated Industries of Florida, one of the state’s leading business advocacy organizations.
“Coming from a business background myself, I am very honored to have AIF behind our campaign,” Ahern said. “I appreciate the organization’s support and look forward to working with AIF to keep Florida’s economy strong.”
AIF’s endorsement is another in a slew of support for Ahern in recent weeks. The National Federation of Independent Businesses, the Florida Medical Association, the Florida Chamber of Commerce, the Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Associated Builders and Contractors, and the Florida Farm Bureau have endorsed Ahern in the House District 66 race for the Florida Legislature.
Known as “The Voice of Florida Business” in the Sunshine State, Associated Industries of Florida (AIF) has represented the principles of prosperity and free enterprise before the three branches of state government since 1920. A voluntary association of diversified businesses, AIF was created to foster an economic climate in Florida conducive to the growth, development, and welfare of industry and business and the people of the state.
“We’re pleased to announce AIFPAC’s endorsements for Florida Senate and House candidates running for election this November,” said AIF President & CEO Tom Feeney. “This list of candidates from across the Sunshine State is representative of who we believe will be the best voices for the business community in our state’s Capitol.”
“As we continue to strive to make Florida a breeding ground for entrepreneurship and innovative job growth, these candidates each exhibit a commitment to protect Florida employers and employees, while growing our economy and job base,” Feeney added. This November, we encourage Florida voters and our membership to support these candidates who we believe will position Florida as the No. 1 state to conduct business.”
